Houaphanh Approves Private Company to Develop Tad Saleuay
KPL) Houaphanh Province has granted a concessional right of Tad Saleuay waterfall-tourist site to the Airkong Private Company.
A Memorandum of Understanding on the concessional right was signed by Deputy Director of Houaphanh Provincial Planning and Investment Department, Mr Khonethong Manyvone and Chairman of Airkong Private Company, Mr. Airkong Vongphachanh in the attendance of representatives of local authorities, and relevant officials.
Saleuay waterfall is a tourist destination in Xamneua district, Houaphanh province.
The investor is expected to invest 3 billion kip in this 20-year concessional project turning Saleuay waterfall into an attractive natural tourist site, according to the Provincial Information, Culture and Tourism Department.
The first phase of the project will run between 2017 and 2019. It will include the improvement of existing parking area, a road access to tourist site, a trekking path to the top of the waterfall, the construction of an embankment, a natural sightseeing platform, a restaurant, a bridge over the waterfall and relaxing area.
As for the second phase 2019-2021, the company will carry out two construction projects including a Lao-styled house resort to serve tourists.
