Vanglouang Waterfall Renovation Over 50 % Completed
KPL) A concessionaire has recently confirmed that it has achieved more than 50 % of its planned renovation for the natural tourist site Vanglouang Waterfall since the renovation was commenced in 2015.
Worth over 5 billion kip, the renovation project aims to turn Vanglouang Waterfall into a more attractive destination for both domestic and foreign visitors.
Located in Pakngum district or around 50 km from the Vientiane downtown, Vanglouang Waterfall sits on 6 ha of land. It is now under a 15-year concession granted to No1 Construction Development Company.
“The company has already completed the first phase of the project and now it is focusing on implementing the second phase which involves the renovation of a car park, building a strolling path, a restaurant, a flower garden and a market where visitors can buy products made by local people,” said Manager of Tad Vungluang Waterfall Mr. Joudpasong Singvongsa.
“Based on years of observation, we realise that Tad Vangluang Waterfall is very attractive to local and foreign visitors. Especially, on the weekend or special occasions, people tend to visit this place,” said Mr. Joudpasong.
Mr. Joudpasong also said that Tad Vanglouang Waterfall renovation project was benefiting local people as a number of them were hired for its renovation.
