The latest GTR Golden Triangle guide map is now out, after a lengthy delay checking all the new attractions & developments.

The 2016 GTR Golden Triangle Guide Map

The 2^nd edition has a 66 item guide to the highlights of touring the GT. This list gives you an idea of things & places to look for as you go. Previously some people who bought the map were not sure exactly what to look out for or where to go; but now with the GT highlights listed you have an indication of what the local attractions maybe & what to look out for. The attractions list even includes different ethnic groups that may be prominent in some towns &/or only found in that area, & so are worth noting as you pass by.

NEW ELEVATION PROFILES

Road elevation profiles have always been a strong feature of GTR maps & the 2016 GTR Golden Triangle guide map has 4 new road elevation profiles to take the total out to 10 elevation profiles.

The new road elevation profiles are

1. R4018 Phaya Phipak – The Big Dipper
2. R1155 from Tha Charoen – R1021
3. R1093 Pang Hat – Pha Tang – Chiang Kham
4. R1252 the Jaseon road from R118 – 1035

CITY MAPS

The city maps have had a massive rework & include scores of new hotels, restaurants & pubs.

The 1^st edition GT map had 9 city maps & the new 2016 edition has 3 new ones. The new city maps are Thoed Thai, Mae Sai downtown & a Chiang Rai environs map.
