This temple complex is located on the shores of Kwan Phayao. Known locally as “Phra Chao Ton Luang” it houses a sitting Buddha image with a lap width of 14 meters, and a height of 17 meters.
There is an intriguing scuplture garden within the temple grounds, described as the “Heaven Hell Park” and located just north of the temple entrance. It contains a series of statues representing heaven and hell. Temples throughout Thailand may sometimes have heaven and hell portrayed in murals, but this one of the few scuplture gardens, and there are some truly grotesque items, which provide interesting photographic subjects!
